2024-25. All International Students (139

Italy are encouraged to apply. Italian Government (MAECI) Scholarship 2024-2025
is a fully funded scholarship for international students to pursue Masters or PhD degree at the top
Italian Universities. This scholarship covers monthly payments of 900 euros, tuition fee and medical insurance. Applicants for the MAECI
scholarship are not required to submit
IELTS/TOEFL scores, and there is no
application fee.

Eligibility Criteria
To
qualify for the MAECI scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
- Applicant must possess all the official documents e.g. Passport, Bachelor Degree
- Age limit for masters is 28 years old, 30 years for PhD and 40 years for Research Project.
- For Italian taught programs minimum level required is B2 within the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
- Applicants who wish to enroll in courses taught in English must demonstrate English language proficiency by providing a language proficiency certificate (IELTS or any other Language certificate such as English Proficiency language proof).
- For Ph.D. applicants, there is no proof required for language proficiency

ID card
- Passport must have at least one full blank page on each side.
- Passport must be valid at the time of visa application and entry into Italy.
- Include birth certificate or national ID card.
Language Proficiency
Proof
- Italian Universities offer English-taught and Italian-taught programs.
- Language proficiency certificates required for both languages, B2 level according to CEFR.
- Italian-taught programs require recognized Italian proficiency certificate.
- English proficiency certificates accepted: IELTS, TOEFL, or proficiency certificate from last attended university.
Recommendation letter
- Provide up to 2 letters of recommendation, depending on the courses.
- It's advised to include a letter from the HOD or relevant course head, preferably a Ph.D.
- Referees should include their contact details (email, phone number) at the end of the letter.
CV/Resume
- Create CV on Europass
- CV should include latest and relevant information about occupation and interests.
- A perfect CV should be hand-signed.
Research proposal/plan
(Optional)
- Include research publications and achievements such as conference papers, article reviews, and abstracts of thesis.
- Research proposal typically required for postdocs or PhD students.
- Proposal should detail research goals, methods, desired outcomes, timeline, budget, and area of study.
- Prohibited
to seek external help; violation may lead to disqualification.
Statement of Purpose or
Motivational Letter (optional)
- SOP (Statement of Purpose) and LOM (Letter of Motivation) are essentially the same.
- They serve as a short biography, introducing yourself to the panel.
- Explain personal and professional reasons for applying for the course and scholarship.
- Maximum length for Italian Government Scholarship is 1000 words, but advised to keep it concise to one page.
